This January lets transport ourselves to the warmer climes of the Southern hemisphere and the magical Amazon rainforest. In these lessons we will look at the diverse array of vegetation, animals and insects that live in this tropical wonderland.

Over the course of the 6 weeks, we will create illustrated maps of the rainforests habitat, referencing the beautiful work of illustrator Katie Vernon. We'll create an etomology of our favourite insects/butterflies and look at artists such as Matisse who used simple plant and flower forms in his later work. And if you love painting there'll be a chance to create your own forestscape referencing the Naive style of Henri Rousseau the
famous Post-Impressionist painter.
